FOUR ARCHAIC JADE CARVINGS
NEOLITHIC - WESTERN HAN PERIOD (C. 6500 BC - AD 8)
The group comprises a calcified opaque brownish-white jade circular bi disc; a jade toggle; a greyish-celadon circular plaque carved with swirling patterns; and a partially calcified celadon jade cicada.
The cicada 2 1/8 in. (5.5 cm.) long
Provenance
The first: acquired in 1991 in Hong Kong.
The second: acquired in 1989 in Hong Kong.
The third: acquired in 1988 in Hong Kong.
The fourth: acquired in 1991 in Hong Kong from a private collector.
