With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the movement of the present watch in 1929. It was completed and encased in 1935 and sold on 17 September 1938 with a silvered dial and black enamel hour markers.

The rarity of this unusual watch, fitted with the highly attractive "sector" or "aviator" dial, is further enhanced by the retailer signature, Walser, Wald & Cia., Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of Patek Philippe's most prominent retailers in South America. It is believed to be the only watch with this particular dial configuration and retailer signature known to exist to date.
