MARTENS, Friedrich von (1809-1875). Souvenir de Lausanne et de ses Environs. Lausanne: Bazar Vaudois, [n.d.].
Oblong 4° (271 x 352mm). 13 hand-coloured aquatints, issued without title and text, each plate with imprint: ‘dessiné d’après nature et gravé sur acier par Martens’. (Plate 6 lightly soiled, very light browning in a few margins.) Contemporary yellow printed boards with wide decorated border, in a folding cloth box (spine strengthened with buckram strip, border almost faded away, lightly rubbed). Provenance: Comte Alain de Suzannet (bookplate) – purchased from Art Ancien, Luzern, 15 October 1946.
