Small 4° (244 x 185mm). Engraved title with hand-coloured vignette, 13 hand-coloured aquatint plates after Egerton by G. Hunt. (Some light spotting and browning.) Crimson morocco by Riviere, gilt dentelles, gilt edges (lightly rubbed along joints). Provenance: John F. Talmange (bookplate) – purchased at auction, 1 May 1932.

A light-hearted collection of caricatures on the passions of fear, anger, despair, hope, revenge, pity, jealousy, melancholy, cheerfulness, and joy. Two editions appeared in 1825, one published by Hunt, the other by Thomas McLean. Abbey Life 291.
