A HUANGHUALI RECESSED-LEG TABLE, QIAOTOUAN
QING DYNASTY, 18TH-EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The table has a single plank top panel terminating in everted flanges and is fitted to the legs and spandrels using the traditional bridle joint. Supported by slightly flared legs, joined by a recessed panel carved with chi dragons.
