                                            A PALE CELADON JADE 'GRAPE' WASHER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The pebble-shaped washer is carved sitting on intertwining grape vines emanating overlapping leaves and fruits which are cleverly carved out of the greyish-black part of the stone. The material has a pale greenish-white tinge with concentrated areas of russet.
