A WHITE JADE 'DOUBLE CATFISH' CARVING
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The stone is well carved depicting two catfish facing diagonally from each other, each grasping a spray of lingzhi in the mouth, all above a base of swirling waves. The white stone has a high polish and a concentrated area of mottling and pale grey inclusions on the base.
