A PAIR OF GREYISH-WHITE JADE AND LACQUER TABLE SCREENS
18TH-19TH CENTURY
One side of each thick, rectangular panel is carved with various renditions of shou characters, each filled with gilt. The reverse is covered in red lacquer and carved with further shou characters. The lacquered wood frames and stands are decorated in gilding with sprays of peaches and bats.
