A lady, in turquoise dress and striped scarf over her hair by John Bogle (Scottish, 1746-1803); together with a lady in blue dress (English School, circa 1765)
The former signed with initials and dated 'IB / 1778/9' (mid-right)
Both on ivory
Ovals, 45 and 44 mm. high, silver-gilt frame with split-pearl border, the reverse with a miniature of a shepherdess in a landscape, and gold frame, respectively
