A LARGE HONGMU SCROLL-FORM STAND
LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The single-plank top is set within a wide rectangular frame constructed from finely-carved, single sections at the ends to form an elegant outward curve. The frame is joined at the corners by elegant, openwork scroll-form feet and joined on the ends by rectangular stretchers.
