MARKED SAMSON, FRANCE, LATE 19TH CENTURY
On short straight foot, of shallow form with sloping rim, the green, red and blue painted decoration with a central roundel inhabited by a reclining deer, hare and two dogs amidst stylised foliage, the borders with cusped niches, the rim with repeating simplified leaf patterns, on white ground, marked under the foot
