TWO EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS INLAYS
PTOLEMAIC PERIOD-ROMAN PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD-1ST CENTURY B.C.
Both with checkerboard pattern in red, white, blue, black and yellow, the smaller with a yellow laddered border
1 ½ x 1 1/16 in. (3.7 x 2.7 cm.) max.
Provenance
Achille Groppi (1890-1949) collection, Switzerland, acquired 1920s-1940s; and thence by descent.
The Per-Neb Collection (Part II), Ancient Egyptian Glass Inlays; Christie's, London, 7 July 1993, lot 60.
