The rectangular cabinet has two small doors positioned above two larger doors, each richly painted with scenes of lakeside pavilions nestled in a mountainous landscape, and enclosed by borders painted with lotus meander. The doors open to reveal the shelved interior. The sides are painted with shaped medallions depicting birds in flight amidst blossoms which are reserved on a diaper ground. The back is inlaid in silver wire with an apochryphal Qianlong mark and a small carved Qianlong mark.
