A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF TARA

The goddess is seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base with pendent ribbons, her hands held in varadamudra and vitarkamudra. She is dressed in a flowing dhoti and adorned with a streaming sash and beaded jewelry, with a lotus blossom at each shoulder. Her benevolent face is surmounted by the tall chignon and a foliate tiara.
