A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS
QIANLONG INCISED XINSI CYCLICAL DATE, CORRESPONDING TO 1761, AND OF THE PERIOD
The bodhisattva is seated in dhyanasana on a throne with his hands held in dhyanamudra. He is clad in diaphanous robes and adorned with beaded jewelry. The face is downcast and surmounted by an elaborate foliate tiara, all backed by a flaming aureole. With an associated, rock-form wooden base.
