Louis-Alexandre Bellangé 1797-1861
Charles Munier, upholsterer, recorded at rue Montmartre 1830-1863
These three stools are part of a series of 75 stools delivered by Bellanger the 20 July 1837 to the Historical museum of Versailles created by the King Louis-Philippe. The design was almost certainly provided by the Mobilier de la Couronne and some similar models have been made by Jacob-Desmalter and Durand.
Some banquettes from the same suite are still in the Chateau de Versailles.
