A SOAPSTONE CARVING OF CHI DRAGONS
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone is well carved in high relief with four intertwining chi dragons with bi-furcated horns and tails playing amidst wispy clouds. Their young is carved out of the black part of the stone grasping a stem in its mouth.
3 1/8 in. (7.9 cm.) wide, stand, Japanese wood box
