On short conical foot, with squat globular body rising to a flaring mouth, the silver-inlaid decoration consisting of floral motifs within a lattice, a band of split palmettes below, a floral garland above
3 ¾in. (9.5cm.) high

Lot Essay

A small vase of related form and dimension, although decorated with a lattice of cintamani motifs, is in the Krishna Riboud Collection, now in Musee Guimet and published in Mark Zebrowski, Gold, Silver & Bronze from Mughal India, London, 1997, cat.526. It is dated to the 17th century.
