TWO WOOD CARVINGS OF GUANYIN
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The lacquered bamboo figure of Guanyin is carved seated with one knee raised, dressed in long robes and her hair tied upon her head in a knot. The softwood figure of Guanyin is carved standing holding a scroll in one hand and a bamboo stem in the other.
The largest, 8 in. (20.3 cm.) high

Property from a Private Asian Collection, predominantly assembled in the 1980s and 1990s.
