A RED-GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK 'CELEBRATION' COVER

The cover is embroidered with a central roundel comprised of gilt couched kui dragons, surrounded by bats and lotus scrolls in coloured silk threads. The upper part is embroidered with a pair of phoenixes, while a pair of dragons emerge from foaming waves below. It is bordered by a band of blue silk embroidered with antiquities and Buddhist symbols. The reverse is lined with blue silk.
