YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The lower section of the vase is subtly moulded with five lobes, supporting the bulbous upper section which narrows to a small mouth. The vessel is covered overall in a soft celadon glaze, with the recessed base bearing the archaistic reign mark.

Yongzheng double-gourd vases of this lobed form are very rare. Compare to an almost identical example, also bearing a Yongzheng seal mark, sold at Sotheby's New York, 22 March 2001, lot 122.
