This realistic bear was the creation of Sylvia R. Wilgoss, chief designer for Dean's from the 1950s. The bear was created after extensive studies of real 'Grizzly' Bears.

with long black plush, brown and black glass eyes cut into internal rubber face mask with rubber eye sockets, large wide apart ears, white plush muzzle, black moulded rubber nose, unjointed, stuffed with wood-wool, pink rubber feet pads, paws and claws, label stitched to left leg and growler --22in. (56cm.) tall, circa 1950s
