A famille rose punch bowl
painted and gilt with shaped panels of figures at leisure on riverbanks, others attending buffalo and goats, fishing and carrying baskets, before boats with their sails unfurled in mountainous tree strewn river landscapes, the interior with a cluster of peach and peony sprays, all within underglaze blue borders of cell pattern, flowers and trailing foliage -- 15¾in. (40cm.) diam, Qianlong, (section of rim restored, minor gilt and enamel rubbing).
