SCHÖNER, Andreas (1528-1590). Gnomonice. Hoc est: de descriptionibus horologiorum sciotericorum omnis generis. Nuremberg: Johannes Montanus and Ulrich Neuber, 1562.
2° (318 x 202mm). Title printed in red and black, elaborate woodcut headpiece above title, 3 woodcut plates, one double-page and 2 folding, numerous diagrams, printer’s device on verso of last leaf. (Some leaves with light marginal waterstaining, ink stain on F5.) Modern vellum, slipcase. Provenance: ‘Bibliothecae Windhagianae Catalogo inscriptus 1667’ (inscription on title) – partly erased library stamp (at foot of title).
