With reblacked chopperlump Whitworth steel barrels signed in full and numbered ‘2’ on the rib, removable striker-discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid ‘SAFE’, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, the locks retaining some original faded case-hardened finish, figured 15 ¾ in. replacement stock, and silver escutcheon engraved with the initials 'AJB', in maker's brass-cornered oak and leather case
29 in. (73.7 cm.) nitro reproved barrels, 2 ¾ in. (70 mm) chambers, bored approx. cyl. and imp. cyl.

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun, number 2 of a pair, was completed on 20 July 1921 for a J.H.C. Hodgson and was ordered via the West London Shooting School.
