In virtually as new unfired condition, with blacked chopperlump barrels signed in full on the tubes and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold on the rib, actions signed 'JOHN WILKES LONDON' in gold on the underside, gold-washed internals, blued toplevers respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', locks signed 'JOHN WILKES' in gold and with gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled edge trigger-guards with gold-inlaid serial numbers, fore-ends with gold-inlaid serial numbers and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold internally, and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold on the tips, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, and retaining all original blacked, case-hardened and blued finish throughout, the locks, trigger-plates and trigger-guards each with gold-inlaid border-lines, well figured 15 ¼ in. stocks, and gold escutcheons engraved with the initials 'D.D.', in original makers brass-cornered oak and leather double case with gold-washed accessories and canvas and leather outer, and with maker's leather double motor case

The makers have kindly confirmed that this pair of guns was completed on 9 April 1986 and were engraved by Danny O'Brien.
