The first edition in English of Kotzebue's first voyage, in original boards. The expedition in the ship Rurick commanded by Kotzebue, and sponsored by Count Romanzoff, sailed to Brazil, stopping at Rio de Janeiro, then went by way of Cape Horn to Chile, Tahiti, Pitcairn, and Radack, to Kamtchatka. The return was made via New Archangel, California, Hawaii, Marianas, Philippines, and St. Helena. See preceding lot for a more detailed description of this voyage.
