Recorked in 2015 by OP. Burgundy shaped bottle with fading stencilling. New wax capsule. Level 4cms
Tasting note: Intense nose of sugar cane molasses and honey cake. Quite intense and sweet. After a while more aromas of vintage furniture wax, violets and acacia honey prevailed. A very good well cask aged appearance. On the taste quite unctuous start, creamy with peach fruit behind the high toned taste. Concentrated and strong. Love the intensity of taste followed by a fine acidity. Well balanced sweet styled Madeira of character. August 2017. EV.
