A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE PHOENIX-FORM PENDANT
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The pendant is carved as a seated phoenix with long, openwork, tail feathers that rise above the wings and the head which is carved with a small beak and circular eyes. The stone of warm white color has some opaque mottling and russet color.
