A GREENISH-WHITE JADE MUGHAL-STYLE JAR AND COVER AND BRONZE SPOON

The globular jar is crisply carved with columns of quatrefoil motifs separated by vertical ribs, under a horizontal band of quatrefoil motifs around the mouth, and is raised on a petal-like lobed foot. The domed cover is carved with a further decorative band, and the finial is set with a pinkish-red glass bead. The jar rim and cover rim are both notched to support the bronze spoon.
