A CARVED RED LACQUER BRUSH AND COVER
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The slender brush handle is carved with a scene of boys at play, one at the top riding a hobby horse beside a pine tree while below a boy carries another on his shoulders, and a fourth boy is seated in the foreground, further boys are on the cover, and all are on diaper grounds between key-fret borders.
