A CAST AND REPOUSSÉ GILT BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF BUDDHA
18TH CENTURY
The figure is depicted seated in dhyanasana on a circular double lotus base, with hands held in bhumisparshamudra. He is dressed in long robes, incised to the hems with scrolling flowers, the hair is styled in tight curls below the ushnisha. The base is sealed and incised with a double vajra.
