A PAIR OF BLUE-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE QUATREFOIL 'LOTUS' SAUCERS
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The interior of each saucer is elaborately decorated with white lotus flowers set against a dark blue ground, with two gilt shou characters for 'longevity' below the gilt mouth rim. The exterior is enamelled in turquoise.

Private English collection, acquired by a Protestant missionary in Beijing in the 19th century, then by descent within the family.
