Lot Essay

A very early Patek Philippe rectangular-shaped wristwatch, the present example has a movement which was produced in 1912 and encased in 1925. With a bi-color case of platinum and 18k yellow gold, fine and unusual black enamel stripes line the bezel and caseband. The movement number is still very crisp on the 18k gold caseback and a hallmark is visible to the left case side.
