Tasting Note: "First noted and showing well at a major pre-sale tasting,
including a dozen top '95's in New York, Nov '97. Two years later, at
the MW tasting of '95's: deep and richly coloured, sweaty tannins and
considerable depth; sweet, good fruit, soft mid-palate, distinctly
tannic. Tasted blind, one of my top marks in a flight of first growth
'95's, the Lafite was still youthful looking; deep, classic, rich,
opening up well; sweet, good extract and fruit, the tannin and acidity
more integrated. Elegant, firm, good future." Last noted Nov 2001
