Tasting Note: "By 2001 dry, raw and tannic. More recently two magnums given plenty of decanting time: still youthful, plummy rim; low-keyed’ earthy, iron flavour, touch of tartness. Eight months later, two more magnums, double decanted: very slight variation but neither particularly praiseworthy, unknit, slightly stalky, whiff like new-sawn timber; flavoury, crisp but raw."
