the hood with moulded caddy top flanked by urn finials above a fret-carved cornice, columns and glazed panels to the sides, decorated with raised gilt chinoiserie figures and pagodas to the rectangular trunk door with lenticle and to the block plinth, the 12in. (30cm.) square brass dial bearing signature Langley Bradley LONDON on the chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture flanked by engraved ho-ho birds, ringed winding holes, cherub and orb spandrels within a hatched border, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; replaced seatboard, case, dial and movement associated, case redecorated, 18th century -- 94in.
