the hood with flowerhead-capped swan-neck pediment, outset plain columns, the cross-banded trunk door with wavy top and flanked by fluted three-quarter pilasters, the plinth on bracket feet, the 12in. (30cm.) square brass dial signed on the chapter ring Wm. Martin Guild Hall LONDON, cherub and coronet spandrels, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture within engraving, ringed winding holes, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; movement and case associated -- 85in. (216cm.) high
