the hood with swan-neck pediment and satinwood inlay, outset fluted columns, the trunk with crossbanded panels, ebony and satinwood line inlay, the bowed door flanked by fluted chamfered sides, the plinth on bracket feet with conforming decoration, the brass dial with foliate branch engraving to the centre, silvered seconds ring, with cherub mask spandrels, painted rolling moonphase to the arch, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, unstamped falseplate; top of backboard lacking, seatboard rebuilt, possibly associated -- 94½in. (240cm.) high
