A large Minton majolica jardinère stand
the broad shallow circular bowl pierced with a basket pattern below a band of leaves and blossom interlaced with ribbon, the lower section with a stiff-leaf band, the stem formed as a putto holding a cornucopia above a jug and fruiting vine leaves, on three scroll feet moulded with leaves, impressed marks, date codes for 1859 and 1868 -- 92cm. high overall, the bowl -- 59cm. diam. (formed from three composite pieces with metal mounts, five minor cracks to bowl, one to base, chip to interior rim of stem, some firing faults)
