CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, MARQUE INCISEE A QUATRE CARACTERES EN CACHET ET EPOQUE YONGZHENG (1723-1735)

The inscription to one side contains two lines from a poem composed by the Song Dynasty poet Chen Yuyi (1090-1138), which may be translated as 'the crab apple flower displays its pink blossoms, standing alone in the rain'.
