Super-chancery octavo (160 x 99mm). 490 leaves. Two red Lombard initials on p. 1, many gatherings unopened (repairs at inner margins of first quire, some spotting and dampstaining, worming affecting text in first quire and final leaf). Contemporary German blindstamped calf over wooden boards, clasps, manuscript fore-edge title (hinge cracked). Provenance: Robert Walsingham Martin (1871-1961; bookplate; his sale, Parke-Bernet, 12 November 1963, lot 398) – acquired there via Lucien Goldschmidt.
