A packed house rained down thunderous cheers while Ruth struggled to give a short speech in the midst of notable pain from his throat cancer treatments. Original ticket stub from that hallowed date with interesting period tyepwritten notations, "MacPhail has box 6 32 A&B All" and small ink notation of "Washington" denoting opponent.
