A VERY RARE CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON ‘PEONY’ BOX AND COVER
SONG-YUAN DYNASTY (960-1368)
Of circular form, the cover is carved with an elaborated peony spray, covered overall with an attractive green glaze stopping short of the rims and the ring foot of the box where it reveals the unglazed body.
