Two 2-page letters signed: "Nelson & Bronte," the first to Lord Seaforth, from: "Victory off Cape St. Vincent," 10 May 1805, referring to a letter to Admiral Cochrane and requesting that an embargo be laid on all vessels at Barbadoes in order to conceal his arrival from the enemy (marked 'Duplicate'. integral blank leaf); the second to Admiral Cochrane, from: "Victory at Sea," 11 June 1805, referring to a black General and servant who are to be received on the 'Northumberland' by Captain Tobin and asking Cochrane to order them a passage to Jamaica, naming them (in the margin) as Joseph Chretien and Petit Desirée, adding that the black General is to deliver a letter to Admiral Davies so that he may be sent to St. Domingo as soon as possible.
