A smaller three-drawer huanghuali altar coffer, but with a similarly carved openwork corner spandrels and more elaborately carved apron was sold at Christie’s New York, 24 March 2022, lot 1193. Another smaller three-drawer coffer formerly in the Florence and Herbert Irving Collection was sold at Christie’s New York, 21 March 2019, lot 1207.
