A planked and framed model of the 100-gun First Rate 'Royal William' built by J. Brooks with masts, spars with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging and deck details including carved figurehead, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads with lion's head decoration, belaying rails, bitts, gratings, canopied ship's bell, capstan, balustrading, curved quarter deck companionways, rope coils, upper and main deck guns, finished in matt varnish with much 'gilded' bulwark and stern gallery decoration, the windows with white frames -- 36 x 44½in.
