the block case surmounted by a gilt and patinated bronze group of Cupid riding a lion, with inscription to the border WERKS.S. R.L MUSEUM TICHBORNE ST., resting on recumbent gilt-bronze lions, with rectangular base on bun feet, the white enamel Roman dial signed H.ry Marc a Paris (some cracking to glaze), within engine-turned gilt-bronze bezel, with conforming bezel to the rear door, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 12½in. (32cm.) high
