An autograph letter, [Hamburg], November 27th, [1960], 7 oclock am to a fan telling her ...all sorts of things have been happening here, but they're too complicated & too many of them to mention. We'll probably be staying over here till after Christmas, and playing at Munich before we come home. Rory Storms had the sack, & he's working at another club here in Hamburg, but he's not doing well - he was booed tonight...He may be deported next week over some trouble with our boss, Koschmider. His group play in the Kaiserkellar with us. It's freezing here now. My hands are like ice - this room hasn't got a heater... and indicating to her that he is homesick and short of money ..Writing papers scarce now, as I write home nearly every night, so that's why I'm writing on this bit. Elvis' new record 'A Wooden Heart' is out over here now. We're learning it. Half's in German. 'It's Now or Never' was here about a month before England got it, and we were doing it before it was being played in England. It's great though, isn't it ? His new one has got a Tyrolean band in the background, and the other side is Rock-Cha-Cha....We're more or less enjoying ourselves here, but we're dead homesick... 2pp., (the signature and end section of the page missing)
