Dedicated to Liyu and Madame Shuyi
NOTE:
This work is dedicated to Yang Liyu (1934–2019), a scholar in politics from Jiangxi. Yang moved to Taiwan in 1949 and graduated from National Taiwan University. He later pursued further studies in the United States, earning a Ph.D. from Stanford University, and served as a professor in the Asian Studies departments at San Francisco State University, Winthrop University, and Seton Hall University in New Jersey.
